We are excited to announce that Josh Hunt from TWIST Conditioning will be our guest presenter for the Northwest Fitness Education 2010 Fall Fitness & Training Forum. This one day Forum will be jam packed with information for Personal Trainers and Group Exercise Instructors.

Coach Hunt has always had a passion for sports which led him to the University of Tennessee, where he was a member of their nationally ranked track and field squad, competing in the 800 and 1500 meters. While at Tennessee, Josh earned his Bachelor of Science degree in human performance & sports studies with a minor in business administration. Josh has an impressive amount of coaching experience, from an Olympic gold medalist to developing youth athletes and a multitude of adults.
After being exposed to the Twist Sport Conditioning methodology, Josh began coaching athletes in 2004 and became driven to hone his coaching skills under Twist.

Learn how to run light, fast and injury free! In addition to barefoot/minimal footwear running technique; this course will focus on exercises and drills to condition your legs and feet, preparing your body for the demands of barefoot/minimal footwear running. You will receive a 10-week transitioning to barefoot running training program you can use for yourself and/or your clients. (This session will be conducted outdoors – rain or shine. Review the basic principles of step training and interval drills and then finish with experiencing this effective workout incorporating new and innovative patterns and exercises.

4:30pm - 6:30 YOGA FOR HIPS with Alissa Lesperance
Tight hips can lead to various problems affecting the functioning of the sacroiliac joint and lumbar spine or triggering piriformis syndrome. In this practical yoga session, find freedom from the hips by increasing strength and increasing range of motion in and around the joint.

FERAL LOWER BODY CLINIC with Derrick de Lay & Ted Schatz
Hundreds of thousands of years of evolution has designed your two perfect legs. In this session we will cover some Feral Fysiology, biomechanics and how to effectively train your legs according to their nature.(This session will be conducted outdoors – rain or shine. Club Sport has a couple places to purchase food and water, but they will probably be busy during your breaks. There is also a shopping center about a 3 min drive from the facility with LOTS of places to eat.

You will be emailed after you register to select your sessions. It is important to ensure your email address is correct as sessions will fill up fast and you must reserve space in your desired sessions.
Parking: You can park in the Club Sport Parking Lot.
We will have DVDs, books and some equipment available for purchase and will accept credit cards, checks and cash.
