There are lots of ways to get those potential new clients coming in, but referrals are always the BEST and most EFFECTIVE way to get new clients! We ran a Valentines referral incentive that I want to share with you. You can use the same idea to run a referral incentive anytime of the year. Make sure to include multiple referral incentives in your yearly marketing plan!

It’s a great way to earn some extra cash just by inspiring someone to take action on their health and fitness goals.

Here’s the process:

For Your Staff:

Whoever books a comp, gets $25 (not just schedule the comp but you actually have to ask for the appointment through a networking phone call, referral, tour etc).  The trainer that conducts the comp and the client ends up purchasing….gets $25. Remind your staff that they might as well earn an extra $$ while inspiring someone to take action!

Emphasize this with current clients!

Clients can win too! So when asking for referrals let clients know you will reward them too!

  • Current Client receives a $25 gift card if their referral schedules for a comp session!
  • If that person purchases a package OR signs up for Gold Group the referring client also gets ANOTHER $25 gift card AND a FREE Private Training session to thank them for the referral!!

So how do you get referrals?

Many Fitness Professionals are uncomfortable with asking for referrals. They often feel that they should be happy enough that their present clients are training with them let alone, asking them for more business.  But don’t be shy.  Your clients train with you because they like you.  And of course, they want to see you succeed.  Asking for referrals is not at all overstepping your boundaries.  We are providing an exceptional service that most people would want to share with their friends, family members and colleagues.
